My holiday party aesthetic this year consisted of glitter cat-eyes and metallic lips, but now that I’ve had my last work day of 2016, I’m back at home in Extreme Nesting (and Media Consumption*) Mode, and damn am I feeling these #looks by Korean makeup artist Joonyoul Seung:
I saw this first photo on /r/AsianBeauty back in early November, and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since. Here’s a more wearable version:
Doe eyes, flushed cheeks, and rosy lips! It’s all very modern-day Snow White, but bakery AU! Or, like, katerspie.
(It’d take me a few weeks of religiously applying Vitamin C serum to get my skin bright/even enough to apply such heavy blush, but honestly the biggest deterrent for me is the fact that this makeup looks best with clean, barely-styled hair, which means I’d actually have to wash my hair more than once a week. One can dream…)
*A non-exhaustive list of my current media consumption: A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin, I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson, Check, Please!, Yuri on Ice, Jessica Jones, Talk Direction, Hermione Granger’s Hogwarts Crammer for Delinquents on the Run. An exhaustive list of media I await so eagerly that I’m yelling about it: BBC’s Sherlock.
